Tony Cascio, founder of The Pesky Throttle. I have over a decade of bike ownership behind me, through more than half a dozen bikes.

I've owned several vintage Honda CX500 motorcycles. Some were mock-up bikes, some were restoration projects, café racers and track bikes. On the creative side, I like designing aftermarket parts for these bikes, and that path is what led to the products I'm building today.

Every bike I ever owned ran two carburetors. I've had a few Yamahas over the years. I'm on my third VStar 650, the one I'm customizing now: solo seat, fenderless for a while, and this is the one getting the Single Stack single carb. Running it on one carburetor put me on a path to designing a whole new intake manifold, and that meant tuning the bike all over again in a whole new way. Going from there brings on a lot more tuning challenges. Tuning a bike like that can feel daunting. These tools take the guesswork out of it. You get guidance while you diagnose, like a mechanic standing next to you. You can share your questions and get answers in a timely fashion. You can also watch the trends over time, like a battery slowly draining on the graph, so you catch the problem before it strands you. The point of all of it: get the bike back on the road, and keep it there longer.

A public member can be found three ways — by member name, by bike, or by where you are (city, state, country). Private bikes never show up in any search.

In Development

Coming Soon: One Dongle, Every Tool

Step 1

Plug In

One small dongle plugs into your bike, and the sensors plug into it: throttle position, vacuum for carb sync, an oxygen sensor for AFR, an RPM pickup, plus battery and temperature channels.

Step 2

It Talks to Your Phone

Everything streams over Bluetooth — no wires to the phone and no app to install.

Step 3

These Tools Go Live

The diagnostics on this very page become the live displays, fed by your real bike instead of the built-in previews.

The dongle is in development now. Want first word when it opens up? Use the contact form below.
